Cincideutsch Culinary Discovery Trek to The National Exemplar in Mariemont

Most likely, you’ve been to Mariemont, a charming village known for its English Garden City design, European architecture, tree-lined streets, and quaint village square. It will be the destination for our next Culinary Discovery Trek. Join us for an evening at The National Exemplar, located within the Tudor-style Mariemont Inn, which opened in 1926 as a social hub for the new community. Mingle, socialize, and make new friends while enjoying a buffet selection of Exemplar's delicious appetizers in a private room. Let us know any dietary restrictions - e.g. vegetarian, allergies etc. A full cash bar will also be available. Our Cincideutsch member, Tina Getter, who serves on both the Architectural Review Board and the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) committee for Mariemont, will give a brief talk about the village's history and land planning design. Founded just over 100 years ago by heiress Mary Emery, Mariemont was envisioned as an idealistic alternative to city living. Today, it stands as an exemplar of state-of-the-art community planning and was named a National Historic Landmark in 2007. The cost for the food is $25 per person.
